It was finally a sunny morning for the 150 mile trip from Opatija to Zadar.
Unfortunately, by the afternoon it was raining again. And
continued to rain for our short tour of old town Zadar. Inside
the walled city were churches from 9th to the 13th
centuries.
A nun took us on a personal tour of their collection
of Sacral Art. Most pieces were covered in gold leave.
Thee were also large tapestries and paintings on the walls. It
was a great collection to see. Unfortunately, no pictures were
allowed
We stayed one night at the Hotel Borik
in Zadar.
Trip from Zadar to Dubrovnik was 267 miles, with a
stop to sightsee in Split.
