Donald  G. ASHBERGER was born 4 May 1915, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

In the 1920 census, Donald was 4 years old, born in Pennsylvania.  He was living with his parents and sister at 40 1/2 Lehigh Street, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania.

In the 1930 census, Donald was 14 years old.  He was living with his parents and sister at 40 1/2 Lehigh Street, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.  He was attending school.

In the 1950s, he lived in Baltimore, Maryland where his two children were born.   In 1960, the family moved to Hazel Crest, Illinois where they stayed for 17 years.   After retirement in 1976, he and Virginia moved to Sun City, Arizona.

Donald worked for Swift and Company from age 16 until  his retirement at age 62.  He was a controller for the company when he retired.   

He died, at age 86, on 16 May 2001 in Sun City, Maricopa, Arizona. 

Comment:  The Social Security Death Index has death date as 20 May 2001.  His daughter wrote that his death was on 16 May 2001.
