Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

The gardens grow more species in its 300 acres than any other garden in the world and has a long and distinguished royal history.  Newly planted this year, 350,000 china blue chionodoxa flowers - not yet in bloom for our visit.

The Millennium Seed Bank Project is the largest international conservation initiative ever undertaken.  This world-wide collaboration aims to safeguard over 24,000 plant species from around the globe against extinction.  It has already successfully secured the future of virtually all the UK's native flowering plants.
