Cavtat, Croatia
We were supposed to take a private boat
from Dubrovnik to Cavtat to the south. But it was still spotty
rain, cold and very windy. So it was back on the bus for the
trip to Cavtat, referred to as the San Tropez of South Dalmatia.
Our guide told us the Irish were buying
for investment and restoring many homes, then selling for substantial
profit.
Only 7 of our group departed the bus for a short walking tour of the town.
We walked along the harbor
and visited the local church.

Cavtat is 17 km south from Dubrovnik. It was founded on the
grounds of the former Roman town Epidaurus. Today it is the
center of the Konavle district. Cavtat attracts numerous
tourists who are fond of clear sea, and beautiful nature.
